Artist Statement

I think that each painting should make an impression, it can not be indifferent to the viewer.
The idea of the painting is important, so that it is not just another canvas painted without sense and without purpose. There must be an idea which we illustrate by painting.
I want to show the transience of a moment closed in the plane of color and penetrating the matter through light. I try to show transcendence. I was done in cycles - Screens, Woman - Imago, Stream of time.

I do not limit myself to one topic. The last cycle that has been created recently is the "Time stream". This topic arose from my interest in the Kosmos, the multidimensionality of time and space, parallel worlds. I am interested in where energy is accumulated isolated from the body.

The topics are closed in cycles that I mentioned earlier, and Obsessions and Archetypes.
They are all current, they are not finished and new paintings are created in each of these cycles.
The woman was always the dominant topic. A sensual, reflexive or obsessive woman. A woman - a flower or a woman's metamorphosis. Not a specific person but a woman. This topic appeared at the very beginning of my artistic work and has remained very important to me today. Over the years, this subject has undergone numerous transformations - female obsessions, sensuality, women flowers, women imago, archetypes of a woman.

I paint with oil and acrylic paints. For a long time I was looking for a transparent medium that would allow me to show the penetration of planes, the three dimensionality that is so intriguing to me. A soft, transparent medium resembling a plasma.
After many years of work, it seems that I have achieved the goal - the fluidity and softness of biological forms combined with a hard, massively marked plane - the imagination of non-being (nonentity).

What's your background?

I'm a Polish. I was born in Upper Silesia, studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow and have lived in this city ever since. I consider myself a Silesian but also a Cracovian.

What does it mean to win the Collectors Art Prize?

Winning this award means I'm in a prestigious company.

What do you think is the role of art in the world today?

I believe that art in the modern world serves as an antidote to the excessive, progressive technologicalization of the world and irrevocably entering artificial intelligence. We cannot allow our world to be dehumanized, which I believe art can help a lot.

What would it be if you could change one thing about the art world?

I would like to protect the spiritual element in art, which should be a showcase of humanity.

What are your most significant professional achievements?

My greatest professional achievements are the fact that I could take part in various wonderful and prestigious exhibitions in different places around the world, on different continents.

What do you wish to tell viewers about your work that might not come out explicitly? What do you hope to inspire with your artwork?

It is important for me to convince people that the world is not only made of matter, that we are surrounded by the astral world, that we are energy that never dies, but is reborn.

What advice would you give to the upcoming generation of artists?

The future generation of creators needs them to be faithful to their ideals, the ideals of art, and to help people, through their activities, preserve humanity and protect our planet, its ecosystem.

In what direction would you like to see your career go in the next five years?

My dream is that in the coming years I will receive an invitation to organize an individual exhibition at a prestigious museum of contemporary art.
